Lord, make my steps holy devoted. Keep my eyes fixed on You, Jesus, as You lead me along the path of life. Though mountains loom in the distance, the way before me is safe because You know the way. Let me not become distracted by the heights which tower up ahead. Instead, let me focus on the next step You require me to take. Turn my eyes away from the easier shortcut that appears far less treacherous and demanding. Your way is always the best way, Lord. I trust that if this road leads up the scaly cliffs You will be there to equip and guide me. And should the path take a sudden turn away from difficulty, let me stop and praise You in the meadow of respite. Your rod and staff are my comfort and strength Lord. Your presence is my guide. No matter where this road leads, may I always follow You with devoted steps. Under the Word given and received in Psalm 17:5-7 and the authority of Christ, I bow in grateful prayer.

My steps have held to Your paths;
