Today’s Prayer

Lord of all the universe, I come to You with my heart in my hands. Take the pieces into Your love so that I can be put back together by grace. Enable me to let go of that which You do not intend me to hold onto. Show me areas where I am exerting control over another. Remind me that I can care without doing everything someone else wants me to do. For my heart answers only to You. Help me to allow those that I love to learn from natural consequences. For it is not my job to prevent another’s pain, but to help them learn from it. The outcome of choices is not in my hands, but Yours. Help me to relate to others in such a way that I point them to You rather than try to be You in their lives. Help me to accept what I am powerless to change, but don’t let me give up in the face of adversity. Thank You, Lord Jesus, that I am not alone in the maze of life’s mysteries. You are my guide, my answer and my mender. Under the Word of Matthew 12:48-50 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I humbly pray.

“Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
And stretching out His hand toward His disciples,
He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers!
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven
is My brother and sister and mother.”
Matthew 12:48-50, ESV
