My blessed and holy Savior, cultivate an increased measure of patience within the heart of Your servant. To do Your will and endure the storms that challenge my faith is the truest desire of my heart. For when my voice is lifted in anguish entreaty, it is You who hears the unutterable cries of the soul. No matter the depth of the pit which has sucked me down toward endless despair, Your mighty arm reaches me where I am. Though the mud of my affliction is thickening with deceit, Your truth breaks through the hardened crust, making it soft enough so that I can be removed from the miry bog. Jesus, Your love is the rock on which my dirty feet can stand. Your cleansing grace washes clean what my own selfish heart has dirtied. And when I stumble, it is Your holiness that steadies me in faith. My Lord, captivate the thoughts of my mind with new songs of truth that resound louder than the false assumptions prevalent in this carnal culture. Open blind eyes to see Your majesty, Lord. Mend broken hearts to reveal Your grace. I have and forever will put my trust in You. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Under the beauty of the Word delivered in 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.
